Welcome to the Davidson College Wind and Jazz Alumni site!
In April 2024, over 100 Wind and Jazz Ensemble Alumni met in Davidson for a fantastic Reunion and Doc-a-palooza that celebrated our shared Davidson musical experiences and the accomplishments of Bill "Doc" Lawing.
The attendees played music together, caught up with dear friends, laughed over old Tour photos, and enjoyed the beauty of the Davidson campus.
The Reunion also marked the formal launch of the new William D. Lawing Alumni Fund for Instrument Lessons. This fund will support a cause that Doc cares about deeply: providing scholarships for instrumental music lessons, a cost not included in current financial aid packages.
We hope this site will maintain the connections established during the Reunion, provide a place to exchange photos and recordings from Doc's years at Davidson, and encourage additional support for the Lawing Alumni Fund.
